Are there any free outdoor activities to do in Branson?
Branson & the surrounding mountain offer beautiful scenery as well as outdoor activities that are free or close to it. Branson has many miles of hiking trails that are free to the public. Henning Park is just west of the strip and east of Shepherd of the Hills. There are also beautiful trails at the Table Rock State Park and at the Taneycomo Fish Hatchery.
The Fish Hatchery also provides free tours of the hatchery showing the process of taking eggs all the way to being trout that are released into the lake.
Moonshine Beach is also a great bargain for the family that wants to spend some time relaxing or swimming at Table Rock Lake. For only $4 per car, you can spend the entire day at the beach, bringing your own cooler & food if you wish. There are also several grills and picnic tables so that you can enjoy a family cookout.
These are just a few of the outdoor activities that are available for free or low cost. With the beauty of the Ozarks surrounding you in Branson, it doesn’t get much better than that.
