When the Titanic set sail in 1912 it boasted elaborate carvings on the walls of the First Class Lounge called ‘boiseries’.  Hand carved mahogany paneling with mother of pearl inlaid through out covered the First Class Smoking Room.   In honor of the wood carver’s art the Titanic Museum is hosting a Wood Carving Competition on October 10^th through October 12^th in the parking area.  Five professional wood carvers will compete in a three day event.  This event will allow spectators to watch as they carve blocks of wood into something spectacular with a chainsaw during the daily 75 minute speed carving contest. This event is free and sure to please everyone in the family.  So come on down and cheer for your favorite or stand in amazement of what these professionals can do.

From the humble start with the country music’s 1983 Song of the Year hit Swingin’, John Anderson brings Branson a broad taste of his musical talent.  His latest hit, Seminole Wind, shows John’s resiliant adaptation to country music’s growth and evolutiuon over the last 25 years.

In the early 1900’s Tea time was a major event.  In 1912 the guests aboard the Titanic attended tea time with a flare and now the Titanic is having a Tea Party you will surely remember for years to come.  Bring the young princess in your life to the Titanic on October 18^th and 19^th to have tea, finger sandwiches, and cookies, while learning proper etiquette, table setting, and serving skills.  Young ladies 18 years of age and younger can come and enjoy the glamour associated with the Titanic.  This classic tea party includes a tour of the breathtaking Titanic Museum Attraction.
