John Daly’s Murder Rock Golf and Country Club will be hosting his Lion’s Heart Invitational Golf Tournament. This tournament, that moved from Tunica to Branson, brings with it celebrities of all kinds. NFL players such as Marshall Faulk, Vencie Glenn, Bernie Kosar, Sterling Sharpe, Kordell Stewart, and Art Still will be in attendance. Also in attendance will be Terry Ahola (US Ski Team), John Daly (Host and PGA Tour Player), Robert Gamez (PGA Tour Player), Ian Gomez (Actor), Clint Howard (Actor), Richard Karn (Actor), Jack McGee (Actor), Kevin Sorbo (Actor), Jan Stephenson (LPGA Tour Player), Tommy Thayer (member of KISS), Gary Valentine (Actor), and Luke Wilson (Actor). This fundraising event will benefit the Ozark Mountain Family YMCA as well as the John Daly Foundation. The event begins on September 30, 2008 with a free ice cream party and autograph session with the pro-am starting on Wednesday, October 1, 2008. The New Branson Airport is allowing the public to come hit a golf ball down the runway for a small fee. Closing the evening will be a concert performed by local stars with a special appearance by Samantha Cole (Recording Artist), Mike Reno (Lead Singer of Loverboy), and Darius Rucker (Lead Singer of Hootie & the Blowfish). This is sure to be an event that one will not soon forget, so come for the ice cream and concert and stay for the golf.

The 35th Annual Autumn Daze Craft Festival will be held in Downtown Branson on September 18th through September 21st. This festival is sponsored by the Downtown Branson Main Street Association and brings more than 150 crafters with it. So shoppers come on down to Commercial and Atlantic streets and find a wide array of items from iron work to quilts and purses. Also on hand will be food vendors to satisfy the hunger of the non-shoppers and shoppers alike.
The Autumn Daze Craft Festival will be open from 9am to 6pm on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday; on Sunday it is open from 9am to 4pm. There is no cost to visit this Festival.

On September the 10th, Stage 3 of the Tour of Missouri will journey through our neck of the woods here in Branson, MO.
This leg of the race will take place between 11:00am and 2:15pm. The race can be viewed from many areas throughout Branson. Spectators can catch an up close and personal vantage point from many points along the way.
The route will consume a portion of Hwy 65, Hwy 248, and the Ozark Mountain Highroad (Hwy 465) while finishing up on the famous Hwy 76 Country Boulevard.

The two time grammy nominee, Johnny Mathis, will perform for two dates in Branson, MO. On September 26th and 27th at 8PM at the Mansion Theatre Johnny Mathis will bring back “Chances Are” and favorites like “Misty”, “Wonderful, Wonderful”, and “It’s Not For Me to Say”.
Johnny Mathis began his career at age 19. He carried many years with Columbia Records with #1 Billboard hits, and a record run of over 10 years with his “Greatest Hits” album which has been noted Guiness Book of World Records for sustaining the Top Albums Chart.
For these limited performances, Johnny Mathis will be accompanied by the Springfield Symphony for a night to remember.

The Branson Brothers finished 2007 performing at the Branson Hall Of Fame Theater in the Branson Mall, but they’ll be performing in new surroundings come 2008.
Although their website doesn’t show it yet, it looks like they will be performing at the Caravelle Theatre. The Caravelle Theatre is located on the west end of the strip between Jim Stafford’s theater and The Duttons’. No word yet on their schedule, but we’ll post more information just as soon as we get it.
